Rated for their exhilarating live shows, which consist of a marriage of colourful, highly-conceptualised visuals and an onslaught of electronic noise, Bristol-based techno-punks SCALPING have dropped another adrenaline-inducing cut. Released via buzzy new label Council Records, 'Ruptured' thuds relentlessly with a hardened, industrial kick sound as techno-inspired electronic sequences are dragged mercilessly over a bed of broken glass synth work as sharp, trashy cymbals gouge through the mix. Selecting Electrowerks (aka London's answer to Berghain) as the venue for the next London headline show on the 17th of October, along with support from Girl Band side-project the claque, this is sure to be a show that no-one is going to want to miss. -Holly Mullineaux
